The 8 weeks that have changed my life…
Maybe you are cringing about the title, it’s not seven days to better sex or get abs of steel in just three days, but I can honestly say, these past eight weeks have changed my outlook on life, for the better!
We have all heard of the make it rich quick schemes, try this to grow your online audience and beat Google ranking with this particular secret.
THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE GET RICH QUICK THINGS!
It all started about two years ago, when I watched a clip on the London Real Youtube channel of Brian Rose interviewing the Astronaut, Chris Hadfield. It was the first one that I watched, I can’t say that I was hooked to watch all the London Real interviews, but I dipped back in now and then when time allowed. I liked the relaxed way Brian would interview his guests, it did not feel like an interview, more like a chat between two friends. The one great thing is there was always something to learn from any of the posted video materials on London Real.
It’s no secret; I am looking for more from my working life, while I enjoy what I do for work, I love the industry, the company and adore all the colleagues I work with, there is just something missing. Being an entrepreneur has been something I always wanted to do but always working for multi-national companies, it more about how best to navigate the matrix than make any meaningful change to somebodies life with what we do.
The more I watched what Brian and the London Real team produced, the more interested I became in trying something on my own, the energy and passion he has for helping people be the best they can is contagious.
Shortly after watching the interview and then the subsequent challenge of John Joseph to Brian to run the 70.3 Triathlon in plant-based food, something clicked, and I was hooked on what Brian was doing, and London Real started to mean a lot more to me than just a YouTube channel.

The timing was incredible; just when I wanted to push myself into something more, around an online digital business (I have tried a few times), I started seeing a lot more information around the Business Accelerator course. I received the sales email from Brian, I read the whole thing, twice. The London Real Business Accelerator would give me the framework to shape my ideas. There are so many ideas I have, that it started to become unclear what to do, where to start and when, this looked like the clarity I needed to begin.
So, as Brian would say, I pulled the trigger on The Business Accelerator.
Like I said above, this is no walk in the park, in fact, it’s bloody hard work, no taking a back seat, or do what you want when, the way the personal accountability works in amazing. The London Real Business Accelerator does what it says; this is an eight week, online course with two live video calls a week, a unique, diverse set of colleagues to work with from all over the world working together for a common goal, working through at breakneck speed on weekly tasks and challenges to shape, build, grow and scale our passion.
What made this different and genuinely opened my eyes to the great big world outside of hotels, was the varied passions that all our BA colleagues have. We have another Australian that is a thought leader in AI and disruptive technologies, an English lady that is an established mathematics teacher, looking to take her business to the next level and a chap that is all about sexual intimacy between loving couples, just to name a few, all truly diverse.
The glue, all 162 of us, working towards a common goal, of taking our passion online and making sustainable, positive change in the lives of many others. Of all the colleagues, there was not one duplication of subject, which makes this such a unique process, suitable for anybody that has the want, passion, dedication and tenacity to make dreams a reality.
This wide range of people, in my team we were 22, opened my eyes to such a larger world of possibilities. I have been fortunate to have the one career all my life, that is Hotel Management, for more than 33 years I have worked in all levels of the hotel world, from pot-washer to general manager to regional director, lucky to have travelled and lived in many international locations due to my career of choice. I was never blind to the world out there, but to meet these like-minded people online, see and hear the passion they want to bring to the world gave me the enormous sense of possibilities that are available to me, it opened my eyes and has changed my life!
There are many thousands of online courses that people pay for and start with all the very best intentions, what makes London Real Business Accelerator that much different is the accountability to which we are all held. As individuals and as a group, no man or women left behind is the motto, that is where it gets uncomfortable yet amazing. They say, life begins at the end of your comfort zone, that is more true now than ever before. We feel like true entrepreneurs from day one, immediately we start the, new, rest of our lives.

My passion project Be a Hotelier may not be where I want it right now, but I am just impatient at times, but keeping to the proven path that is currently in front of me, it will be no time at all when I look back, reflect on the experience and smile, that was the 8 weeks that changed my life!
